What a Success!!
Community Wide Mitzvah Day
Sunday, February 21, 2016
the area's FIRST effort of this kind!

Our 11 congregations created a day of Good Deeds and the Jewish Federation provided support to make it a success.  Over 230 people of all ages participated.

We had a Kick-off breakfast and program at Temple Beth Sholom and then went out to 10 area agencies for hands on helping.

We also collected much needed items:
non-perishable foods, pop top cans of ready to eat food, diapers for babies, white athletic sox, new or gently used children's books, travel sized toiletries and fun items to make gift baskets for seniors.

The Bloodmobile was at our Kick-Off location and they met their donation goal!

Thanks to Federation for their help in making this day possible.

March 22, 2015 we hosted a Leadership Workshop with guest speaker, Rabbi Lou Feldstein.  Over 70 people, representing 10 area congregations attended the morning.

The event, held at the Community Foundation of Sarasota, began with continental breakfast catered by Nellie's Deli.

Following the keynote presentation by Rabbi Lou, 4 breakout sessions on relevant topics were held.
In July of 2014, we welcomed Kehillah of Lakewood Ranch to our group.
